Kabam is also considering another method to obtain missing deathless pieces besides units, however it won't be implemented for over a year or two.

Before the Deathless champ is awarded? Almost certainly not. However, Kabam has said that down the road there will be ways to acquire missing pieces, but it will probably be either very difficult or very expensive or both.

Nothing is exclusive forever, so I'm pretty sure when Kabam said they would do something eventually they have no actual plan right now for doing that, they are simply stating the obvious (to them). One day something you can only get by collecting these pieces will be something they will create other ways to get, and they will probably first do that by giving players a way to acquire missing pieces, and to prevent devaluing all the effort going into collecting the pieces now, that method would have to be very expensive, or far harder than it is now to collect.

Making that piece only available for 1 season seems a little short sighted, it at least should have been 2 seasons, I managed to get my piece, but still seems like way too short a time, especially when the 6 star version is in the store for another 60 days.

Yeah, kind of a bummer though, it sucks to do all the hardest content but werent able to grind for whatever life/job reasons and that’s that.
