6* rank 1 team draws death match in arena?

This happened to me last night in the featured 6* arena. The were 3 of my lowest pi six stars but total displayed pi was 27,000 (9,000 per team member with recoil on). Has anybody else faced this? Is this the new norm?

    Yeah I noticed it. It is my lowest 6*r1 champs that can get matched against a team of 7*r3 which takes so much time to win the fights. Very annoying. I haven't pinpointed the exact team pi needed to avoid it, but so far I have yet to get that type of match when my team combines for 30k pi total.

    It's only going to get worse so I'm in the process of taking the few champs I have at r1 still to r2 starting at the lowest pi.

    I just objective grind… I run everything down through 6 star R4’s and stop. Not worth trying more for me anymore. Some massive 7 star sasquatch and awakened kindred ruined my streak last week. It takes about all my patience to restart it. Arena is bad enough with the passive AI - you get lower ranked champs against massive health pools and it’s beyond frustrating. You are baiting specials for 30 seconds like you are on the final round of a gladiator circuit match. Zero fun.

    Just stop using R1s? Guess it depends on your roster depth.

    It also isn't dependent on PI, it's dependent on prestige. But, I do not know what that minimum is.
