MD5 vs MD4 - worth it or overkill?

With Necropolis giving a new mastery point, for the first time in years I can consider some new mastery investments.
I’m contemplating unlocking MD5 - have about half the mats I need to do so but it is still a big investment. I definitely was very happy with the difference between MD4 vs. MD3, but given that it will take some units to unlock this I only want to do it if it is worth it.
So, folks that have MD5 - is it good or do your champs build power too much with it? Have you leveraged it to make your mystic defenders tougher in BGs?

Defensively when fighting a mystic, you at very least have to bait their sp more. And I can't think of any non-cosmic champ who has many buffs expiring whom I'd want to use a lot today. So it's mostly about dex buff, and with only one buff 4/5 md difference is noticable imo.
With science class rocks atm, more nullify immune champs, more unexpiring buffs... I actually don't feel like there's any better mastery anyway.
Also you can buy class masteries with loyalty, don't use units

I run 4/5, and with most of my mystic attackers, I can keep the power gain in check to avoid going to a sp3 I don't want (cause of the time it adds in a BG fight).
I imagine 5/5 would make that much more difficult. Your mystic defenders on the other hand, would likely be a nightmare, especially in this GC meta where the defender's power gain can already be difficult to control.
BGs is ultimately where the double edge sword comes into play though. Other game modes, I'd see it as a constant benefit.
Personally, I put my extra point into assassin. Doesn't work every time, but I've noticed a definite increase in fights against Herc where his immortality doesn't proc. That's a nice time saver.
