This is another Necropolis completion thread - Red Goblin path with Aegon

Hi everyone,
I thought that this might be of interest, since (contrary to common belief) I think that the easiest path to complete Necropolis with a team built around Aegon, is the Red Goblin path. And I'm putting my theory to the test. I should add that I have not fought a single Abyss fight but I have actually explored Labyrinth, with a 5R5 Aegon a couple years back. The rewards were already outdated, but I had things to prove to myself i guess, so I did it anyway.
Here's what the stash looked like at the beginning of the run:
The number of the available units will change in a couple of days, since the Banguet starts and I want to ensure max alliance milestone rewards. I estimate that I will have 2,200 units at least available, though.
BUT... the issue I had to tackle was that Aegon is 6R4, but only two days away from 6R5 (once AQ rewards drop) and a few days away from Ascension (once max alliance Banguet milestone is reached). While at the same time I had some health potions expiring, which would be a shame. So... what I decided to do is start my Necropolis run with Aegon at 6R4, use my health potions building up his combo in the Red Goblin fight, then wait out for both his rank up and ascension. And that's what I did.
The team:
I was planning to use my 6R4 Wiccan for the reverse controls phase of the final boss, but... I managed to pull a 7* Juggs! In this picture, he is un-leveled up, which will change once Level Up event shows up.
And, here we go:
Apparently a bug, which gives us the chance to get a quite nice screenshot. Why not?
For the first fight, no change in my usual masteries, Nick Fury gets to live and we start punching Red Goblin. It took me 12 revives and lots of health potions to heal up each time, but RG is down and Aegon is at 981 combo. Almost max, not bad at all! The highest combo I reached each time was around 130-140 hits and I'm extremely proud of the fact that through the whole process, I only got a combo in the face / got hit, once! That's encouraging!
I will keep updating the thread each fight for anyone interested. Thanks!

Level up event is here and Juggs is leveled up. Also note that this will be a SLOW ride. I don't have the full time / day to devote to this run, so I will be clearing one-two fights whenever I find the time and mind focus to do so. The only deadline is January 15th, for the Crypt rewards.
Best of luck!
Back half I’d aim to go into most fights with around 40% health. Give myself as much of a cushion as I can while still gaining the benefits of 3/3 courage.
AQ rewards are here and another step of the progress is completed. Aegon is maxed out and now we’re waiting for Banguet event to drop, for his ascension.
If you have yet to explore it and don't have or not keen on playing Kate, he is a great invest, since you will get the rank up mats back from path rewards anyway 😉

The main difference is that I won't be running full Recoil tree masteries. Just Recoil itself.
Nick Fury had to be sacrificed (sorry Nick, nothing personal) and Masteries have been adjusted accordingly. Now we’re ready to start our main endeavour.
Boosts: 15% health, 2 x 10% and resorting full health with each revive.
Kraven:
This is a perfect fight for Aegon. His traps are actually buffs.Buffs that Aegon purifies on his first hit. It’s preferable to push him in his SP2, but SP1 works fine as well. I couldn’t believe it when I finished the fight with 2 (TWO) revives. That was very encouraging!
Nimrod:
Unlike the previous one, this fight does not particularly suit Aegon. He is bleed immune so your sp2 is useless, he gains a lot of power and when he reaches his sp2 (most times) he goes unstoppable and you have to wait or out, while at the same time you have the power detonation node to worry about as well. I got a little stressed during the fight but at the end it didn’t go that bad. 5 revives in total. Not terrible.
Squirrel Girl:
Another perfect fight for Aegon. Nothing much to worry about, bait her easy specials and keep hitting her. It took me 2 revives and that is because I messed up at the end. This could have been very easily and one revive fight. Confidence restored!
Silver Centurion:
Ok, this is serious stuff. One of the two most stressful fights in the path (the other one being Mystic Spidey later on). To cut long story short, it took me 6 revives. You will spend a couple of them just to get in the rhythm of the fight. I could have avoided a couple deaths because I got clipped by his sp2 but he could have been a little less passive a couple of times and he could have cost me a couple more deaths. So with 6 deaths, I’m overall very happy about it. Don’t bother healing up for this fight. No point I that.
To be continued….
Time to pick it up. His power gain was annoying but with 3 revives in total, I cannot really complain.
Sunspot:
Class disandvantage and you cannot really use specials, while at the same time the trap node urges to throw them. Damn if you do, damn if you don't. Again, another 3 revives, not too bad. Hey, am I getting consistent in this...?
Elsa:
Elsa says that I'm not consistent at all. This is the type of fight that if it was at the beginning of a path, giving you the chance to practice it, the result could be much, much better. Not easy timing parries to her SP1. Overall, the hardest fight so far for me. She cost me 9 revives. Ouch!
Deadpool-oid:
Surprise fight. One-shot. Let's move on.
Purgatory:
Not too bad. I got clipped once from her SP2 which cost me one revive. But with 4 revives, not terribly bad.
Quicksilver:
Probably my favourite fight. By now I have learned to dex fully his SP1. So, 1 revive spent here and with confidence restored, we push forward.
Sandman:
Another straight forward fight. Nothing special to report. 2 revives and I could have done better. Imagine that.
Spiderman Supreme:
This is the 2nd fight I was dreading in the path, with Silver Centurion. I knew what's up and the idea was to hit in his block then dex his SP1 once he reached a bar of power. Easier said than done. It was clear from the start of the fight that this would be a revive-fest. Which I didn't mind. At this point, I know I am well within budget (from the revives stand-point) so, revives-fest it is. 14 revives to this mystic spidey and I don't care.
2 fights left for the boss. Woohoo!
Knull:
A very typical Knull fight. If he goes to sp2, it goes smooth, if he throws sp1, it will be very hard to time your sp1 and avoid the reverse controls. 4 revives and he is down.
Shocker:
I just played him like a stun-immune Shocker fight, baiting his sp1. Nothing special, luckily his AI is aggressive. 3 revives for him.
And we are at the gates. I have 13 L3 revives in stash and I haven’t touched any of my units. Pretty much out of health potions though. But before fighting the big boss, I have to rewatch a guide for him. @Metalsonicdude has a video, specifically on him (big thanks, btw).
Soooo close…
I mean would someone like Kate, Shuri, AbsMan, etc be a smarter choice?
Trying to see who might take certain fights that would save me some revives.
As said before by other forum members, Aegon ignores EVERYTHING! If you have Aegon and revives, you are good to go. That’s it. Juggs helped out in phase 3 and of course cleared phase 4.
I will post below the detailed cost of my run. First, the rewards:
Extremely happy with Overseer awakening, he is probably going immediately to R2. As for the Cosmic R3 champ, the main choices are Odin and Adam Warlock, both unduped.
KRAVEN 2
NIMROD 5
SQUIRREL GIRL 2
SILVER CENTURION 6
SPIDERMAN 2099 3
SUNSPOT 3
ELSA 9
DEADPOOL-OID 0
PURGATORY 4
QUICKSILVER 1
SANDMAN 2
SPIDERMAN SUPREME 14
KNULL 4
SHOCKER 3
GRANDMASTER: 25 (6 L2 + 16 L3 + 3 Team)
TOTAL NUMBER OF REVIVES: 95
Let’s start the celebrations with this rankup.
Also MD is now at level 4. This should be fun, too!
With Aegon, Hit spidey's block only, not once, if you manage to slow hit then you can sneak in 3 hits that will count, spidey can be hit on block if he's blocking even when if he's invis, I figured this strategy out when I was too tired and began to randomly punch him 🫨 that made fight go fast.
