7 star Sandman’s damage is pathetic

His "buff" made his sig the thing that gives him his damage, so the 7 star Sandman from the crystal absolutely sucks.
Apart from that, let’s not forget they nerfed his maximum damage by quite a lot and this results in him taking a macthup like RoL Juggernaut, which is really ideal for his utility, a slug fest…

Got new 7* crystal from GBC too and guess what, pulled Sandman. At least new 7* for collection. Definitely cool as character but that's it...

He is one of the biggest tragedies of mcoc. Such unique powers, Kabam could have done so much with his kit and given him great immunity combos, played with how the sand texture reduces physical/enegy damage, used various forms like abs man (glass form maybe?), new damage over time debuffs, etc.

He is currently good at countering heal and stalling but has too niche a use in the meta without the damage to back him up.

I'd been taking 7* Mangogs with my r4 the whole season in a minute or so which isn't slow as hell so I disagree.
I do agree with the other part though, 7* sucks cause his damage comes from max sig basically.

I'll trade you my duped 7* diablo. Sandman isn't top tier but at least he is used, no one talks about diablo cause no one uses him for a reason.

I disagree, I use him without suicides, works just fine, not a nuke but he's still viable. Also, he's going to be great for BGs season 14.

As Jon said in the stream the other day, Diablo's good and would probably be used a lot more....but Archangel does the same thing, just better.

Yep that's the main reason indeed, it's not that he's bad it's just that AA exists and he overshadows Diablo almost completely.

Archangel and Diablo do completely different things?
All they have in common is that poison is one of their sources of damage.

There is overlap, but Diablo handles scenarios AA can't, such as bleed immunity and nullify buffs. Not to mention he heals from poison and Sp3 making him more sustainable.

They are both amazing champs I use often, but I wouldn't say one makes the other obsolete

I think he meant in the sense that they melt the health bar with dot effects and their playstyle is parry heavy, not the actual utility in their kits.

Nullify, regen, armor break immunity, poison obviously cancels healing, poison resistance. Did you even read his kit before saying he sucks without suicides? Lol

He was on my roster a lot when i started out and i’m well aware of all of these qualities but they’re not the most easy to access as compared to a lot of other champs who can do these. The most useful being nullify and regen and black widow cv does this way better with easier access to the ability. I think sandman is worse but i still don’t think he would be the main use for people unless you run suicides.

All you have to do is use a Special and it all happens automatically without having to do anything, he actually has one of the easiest ways to access all of those things.
