Bahamet fight phase 2 unplayable

I’m trying to do the Deathless Guillotine challenges and the phase 2 of Bahamet Hulk is unplayable. Everytime I try to parry or heavy attack the incoming blast it will fail. The screen will still read parry but nothing comes of it. The timing with the heavies is almost impossible to land too. Need to know if this is anyone else’s issue. I have used G2099 and Morningstar for this fight and it happens to both of them.

Did you make sure you have removal charges before trying to parry?

You have to throw a special into it first. Second time he throws it then parry or heavy. Then you do damage
