Necropolis Completion by Average Skill Player
I have finally completed my one path for Necropolis after 4 days! Making a thread to celebrate my achievement and provide some thoughts on some difficult fights from my experience, hopefully to help someone out there, and most importantly give encouragement to the average skill players group that completion is possible, with lots of planning, reading (other threads) and watching YT videos! This is my first time attempting an Everest content. Nowhere near am I to reaching Valiant. but I considered this as a personal challenge to accomplish. Final count: around 120 revives, 800 units spent over 4 days, which was better than I expected.
Big credits to DNA3000 and Philgreen who provided their journey in a detailed, honest, tongue in cheek write up. I keep going back to your threads and read multiple times to immerse myself in your journey to get a feel of how the fights look like. Your threads provided me a lot of encouragement that it is possible to complete, and gave me the impetus to give it a go myself! Thanks!!
Also a big shout out to Seatin whose completion video gave me a lot of pointers on how to do the actual fights. Love his witty commentary and casual style of play during his fights. Watching many times made me replay in my mind as I do the actual fights, which was less stressful.
Onto the fights. Preparations are very important, which include reading the multiple threads from each experienced player in the forum (see above), watching YT videos of actual fights and stocking up on resources like potions and revives. Taking the recommended easy path of Titania, I went in with a team of 6R5 ascended Aegon, 6R4 Wiccan, Doom, and Heimdall, Proxima for the synergy. Max out Aegon if you can, as his damage is really amazing and enjoyable. I started with 6R4 version and ranked up midway of my journey and could really feel the differences in terms of damage and shorter fights. Doom was brought in because of Air Walker, but eventually I found I could just use Aegon for a faster fight.
Tough fights:
Vision Aarkus - Normal fight and bait out SP1. Long fight that tests your nerves as you see his power bars filled up quickly, stay calm if his power gains pushes to SP3. Just continue hitting as much as you can, to maximize damage before you go down.
Air Walker - Ridiculous fight, with his crazy regen due to a very short window for knockdown. Either Aegon with multiple revives or someone with strong power control and knockdown ability like Doom, patience and revives in abundance is a must.
Captain Britain - Ok fight, but complicated due to reverse control. I did not realize there was a icon until midway as I was confused when my debuffs expired (or did not even know I had debuffs), so did not manage reverse control well. Someone with reverse control immune would reduce your frustration. Rammed through with Aegon after countless confusion.
Dragon Man - Another power gain champ. He would be stun immune most of the time, but one tip I got from my research was that you can block one hit from his special, which would remove his power gain. This was priceless, as I was able to get into a better rhythm and worry less about the power bars filling up (recognize the trend?)
Nova - This was one I feared a lot as I know he would gain power by dashing forward. However, I improved my skills a lot through this fight in terms of learning to dex his SP2. In fact, I would try to push him to SP2 whenever I can! Actually this was one of the fights I enjoyed so much.
