    There’s Omega, Sorcerer Supreme, and Kamala. Very little South Asian rep in this game and there’s not a single SA man either lol. Probably has a lot to do with the fact that comic writers never wrote many SA characters in the first place

    I’d love to see Pav personally! He was so cool in ATSV
    I think it’s all about the business at the end of the day. Marvel would have created international characters to try and crack into those markets. The Indian domestic comic industry was always very strong, so Marvel probably thought it was too hard to break into. If the Disney empire ever buy into it, there are some awesome Indian superheroes to bring into the universe.
    I’m Australian and couldn’t care less about having an Australian champ in the game. I’d rather have an Australian fighting platform game where you have to fight the wildlife and some of the feral locals.
    Not very patriotic, mate
    On the contrary. It just wouldn’t make any difference to the game.

    It adds variety and diversity…

    How good would it be to celebrate Australia Day with a green and gold (science/mutant) theme!

    We have Howard the Duck, Spider Ham, why not one from Marvel's Super Hero Squad Show?

    Black Panther, Jabari Panther and Shuri are Wakandan. Killmonger's half Wakandan.

    Amazing
    Some sources says Wakanda is a reference to Uganda in Africa

    More countries/champs and some you have missed

    Japan=Wong and Lady Deathstrike
    China=Shang Chi
    Mexico=Masacre
    Greece=Elektra
    Apocalypse=Egypt
    Russia=Rhino and Kraven
    Germany=Shocker
    Dr. Voodoo=Haiti
    Wong is Chinese, if I'm not mistaken.

    I left off robots, aliens and people who're from the future, people from other dimensions than regular Earths. Wong and Mordo of the MCU do not have official nationalities/birthplaces. X-23 was born in The Facility, location unknown, but her parents are American and Canadian so that would qualify her as both nationalities, I believe. Squirrel-Girl holds dual nationalities. Elsa was born in the US, raised in the UK and considers Europe her home (and acts/talks so British I assumed she was). MCU Killmonger was born in Oakland, but his father is Wakandan, so I went with him being both. Guillotine was born in France, but is described as French-Algerian. I've gone solely by the comics 616 versions or by the MCU Earth 19999 versions. So, I was pretty shocked to see Wanda and Pietro are Serbian and Morbius is Greek.

    Amazing, @Sundance_2099 !
    Deep research!

    Saved this info for the future 😊

    Hmmm, now I see about Wong.
    Maybe you didn't saw my previous comment.

    In comics he is Tibetan
    MCU refers to the same character
    As you can see below 😊👍

    I don't count the MCU characters as the same as 616. They're very different universes.

    How about we get champions based on how cool they are instead of their race,ethnicity etc?

    Psylocke and Captain Britain are both Elizabeth "Betsy" Braddock.

    Drax in the game is the comics version, not the movie version. The comics version was an American named Arthur Douglas who was killed by Thanos and resurrected in a new body by Thanos' father Mentor.

    The Guardians are a mix of the comics versions (Drax and Gamora) and the movie versions (Rocket and Star-Lord). Groot looks more movie-ish, but I've not looked at his bio properly. But the appearances of the other 4 are definitely split that way and reading Drax's bio, he's specifically mentioned to be Arthur Douglas, so is the comics version.

    Psylocke was originally Betsy Braddock, then she was Betsy's mind in Kwannon's body, then she became Bets in her own body and she's now Captain Britain for the second time. The change to the Asian ninja body was supposed to be a temporary thing like Storm being reverted to being a child (which was in the same story), but the new McNinja Betsy was hugely popular and so it stuck. More recently it'd become seen as being problematic that a White blonde British woman was running around as an Asian woman and they reverted her back. As they should've done years before.
