Question about Venom the Duck

I popped this guy from a crystal the other day (very unfortunate)

And as I was in the process of taking my copium I realized he's #offensive:dot, next BGs meta starts tomorrow and as we know some champs with that tag will be very strong due to the vicious buffs. My question is this, will the direct damage from toxic armor count as dot or burst damage and therefore benefit from the vicious buffs from Red Scare?

I wanna make sure before I pull the trigger and level up this guy cause BGs are the only reason I'm even considering doing this, the iso drought is real 🙃

I have kind of a similar question and decided to put it on the same thread. Would voids dwbuffs count as dot and would you get the power gain

I'm pretty sure those won't count because back when we had the decay meta, decay attackers were still taking damage from them which means they don't count as dot effects or bursts of damage.
