It shows that I am not eligible because I joined late even tho the event has 5 more days and I am eligible already

    What exactly ?
    You didn’t show inside of that Event, which would tell you more detail.

    Have you met the 14 days requirement for being in alliance already ?

    Warning symbol may mean you just haven’t reached the individual point requirement for NEXT milestone (each person needs to do more to claim next milestones even though alliance has already reached a milestone).

    Or symbol may mean you haven’t contributed ANY points to the event SINCE REACHING 14 DAY MARK.
    Any points you may have done (for Solo Event) prior to that don’t count towards Alliance Event. ONLY points done AFTER 14 day mark count towards Ally Event.
