Straight to Arcane 2

I’ve just got into the Gladiators Circuit and am straight to Arcane 2 - is this normal? I usually don’t push to the last week of the season. Is it just because so many of us are stuck in the win one lose one cycle?

Last cycle something like that happened to me but the next day it had corrected itself.

Right. It's not that you have to go thru all the levels upward once you get into GC.
GC ranks are by ranking among those in GC.

If you were one of the fastest (10th fastest) to get into GC, you would thus be initially ranked as 10th highest. Thus not even being in all of the lower ranks within GC.
(Until more and more people reach that and potentially move past you in GC points)
