The New Ultimate Spiderman

Wanted to point everyone in the direction of the new Ultimate Spiderman comic run by Hickman.

It might be way too early to say, "We are so back," in terms of an actually good Spidey comic with Peter as the main character because it can always get way worse. Still, at least for now, it is starting off really strong and feels different compared to recent Peter Spidey stories.

I need a way to relate this to MCOC somehow, so, uh... if it turns out to be really good, maybe we could have him in MCOC as yet another Spiderman (after Punk and Rex, of course)

Sub out ROL winter soldier for Paul for April fools day and make a road to the crypt type event but instead of how deatgs we accumulate it is how many times we Ko Paul lmaooo

I’m lacking in comic knowledge, but I’ve seen a couple videos talking about how tired spidey comics are getting so this is nice.

Funnily enough, I’m a fan of other stuff that could be considered well-written torture p*** (re:zero) but the recent spidey comics seem to have stupid writing and even I was blown away by how many ways the writers manage to annihilate Peter mentally and physically 😭

Peter hasn't been in the hands of a writer who knows what they're doing in so long. He has been written better by other writers in comics he cameos in than in his actual mainline comics.
It needs to be studied how bad marvel has fumbled this character and let it go on for so long lol.
Plus the take on Peter's life and Spiderman is fresh and new with this one

Maybe because I'm just not up to date with spiderman or I read a newer one and thought it was an older one but the last good comic that had Peter Parker as a main character (albeit with ottos mind) was spidergeddon.

I've been reading Amazing Spider-Man since the relaunch after Superior ended the first time and I've enjoyed all of it. I haven't had a problem with any of the runs by Slott, Spencer, or the latest team.

Hold on let's back up for a second. It sounds like you're saying you're a Paul supporter and I must have misread because that is impossible

I said I'd been enjoying the comics, I didn't say I was a Paul supporter. I hope he dies screaming in agony with sharp pointy objects in his head. Much as I enjoyed Spider with Felicia, I ship Pete/MJ because I grew up with her being his girlfriend in the 90s animated series and the first movies. I hated them being split up in OMD, even if I didn't read it at the time.

(my first exposure to Spider-Man was SMAHAF in the early 80s, but he didn't have a girlfriend in that, although I preferred him and Firestar than Bobby and Angelica when I watched the DVDs...)

I don't read comics when they come out because I don't buy comics, I borrow them from my library system which has an extensive collection because it is connected to libraries all over my city so yh I usually read comics a couple years late 😆. For some reason I don't really like peter parker spiderman comics that much 😕 plus they don't have much good Peter Parker spiderman comics that I know of which suits me. I content myself with reading silk, miles morales comics and champions to quench my thirst for spider action @ahmynuts

I'm okay with it. Kamala was originally supposed to be a Mutant, but Isaac Perlmutter basically forced them to make her an Inhuman (he was pushing Inhumans a LOT at the time in an effort to rival Fox's X-Men. Same reason that horrific Inhumans series was brought into reality).

I'm glad they're finally doing what they wanted with Kamala, while not erasing her Inhuman ties. It feels natural.

If you want something relatively short, I re-read Spider-Man Blue recently and it was very good.
