Does King Groot perform well?

When I unlocked 3* King Groot in a premium crystal, I was excited to give him a try. I’ve found his health is perhaps above average and his attack average or less, but when I used his specials, I found special 2 especially weak, dealing 1/3 damage of an average special 2 of a champion at his level. Am I right to believe he is one of the weakest champions or am I using him incorrectly?

He hits like a wet noodle. Matches take forever and nobody uses him except for diversity in aw

My 4* rank 5 King Groot cleared entire paths in 5.3.4

He doesn’t hit hard. More like a tank. Save his sp3 for bigger regen if you fall into issues.

KG isn't an offensive champion. He has a lot of HP but low attack.
His regeneration is the thing that makes him a good champion in quests, at a cost of longer fights

I see, a lot like my 3* Max Colossus with sig 30-40 (don’t remember) weak attack, but due to high health, can with fights against 4* r2 Champions after a long fight.
