Hercules isn't getting nerfed

Stop looking at Reddit.

Stop watching Prof Hoff.

Stop paying attention to global chat.

Let me preface by saying I have a R5 Ascended Hercules. Why? For AQ. Hercules is an extremely OP champion. The unfortunate consequence of the perfect design is that it slows the learning of nodes in the game that newer to moderately newer players need to understand how they work.

Kabam will likely never touch his kit and abilities but will probably introduce nodes to counter immortality. But it's not like they're sitting at their work desks planning this right now.

This all started because of misinformation from the Livestreams. People heard what they wanted to hear and are spreading fake information. Even with Miike's comment on the other thread that everyone can see, things persisted.

Then Prof Hoff gets involved and instead of using his influence, he makes it all worse, makes a video before doing any research and basically adds to the panic his subscribers already had.

You're safe to continue using your crutch in the game. At least try and branch out. This game has tons of amazing champions. But as long as the focus is on Hercules, Silver Centurion will continue to secretly still be the best champion in the game and more OP than Hercules. 😏

I don't understand the uproar. He doesn't even need to be nerfed. Sure he'll save you a few revives but he CAN NOT take every single fight in the game. There's a reason no one is just running through Necropolis with him. Yes he's an amazing Summoner's Choice champ as they all should be but needing a nerf is a HUGE STRETCH.

Love Herc and I use him often but not in every single situation. He in no shape or form needs a nerf.

Why would I be blamed? I haven't said anything that hasn't already been said or brought up. Just telling people to clam down and their precious Hercules isn't getting nerfed.

It would be a waste. Higher tier players only use him for incursions so he isn't *hurting their bottom line*. I personally haven't taken him into a quest since 8.1. He is only a benefit for kabam because he helps new players (what they want most) become competitive and get into the game without much stress. And he gives veterans one of the few super fun options for incursions. Which takes time, is objectionably super fun when you get the right nodes and keeps us on the screen BECAUSE it takes time. Heck if I could do all levels of incursions I would. I used to be a big proff Hoff guy but his fear mongering for clicks is getting pretty bad. He shoulda stuck to just value videos. No bashing. He's trying his best. But ya. Nerfing Herc would only be negative for kabam at this point. They won't do it.

It's not just high tier players using him for incursions. I'd a good 60% of the legends badges out there came from Herc and the incursions event last year from mid level players.

Hercules doesn't help new players learn the game. He helps them ignore a ton of things in acts 1-6. New players are told they need Hercules all the time. Not learning how these node combinations has seen people struggle in places like battlegrounds.

It’s his mess to fix though. He started that post with “We do want to nerf Hercules, and there is no time limit on when that can happen.” It was pretty much guaranteed that someone would take that line and run with it, ignoring the next sentence where he says there are no plans to do so.

Those of us who follow the forums closely know this Herc OP debate and understood what he was saying. But in a world where YouTubers who will remain nameless (*cough cough*) twist and distort things for clicks, the best move might have been to just say we have no plans to nerf Herc, full stop.

It falls out of his realm of responsibility after someone else takes it and twists the words IMO.

It's not his fault. People took what Jax and Aiden were saying and heard something completely different. it snowballed into what's happened these past few days.

This is what I’m referring to. The messaging could have been a lot clearer - all he needed to say was “we have no plans to do that at this time.”

On a lighter note...do we know who developed Herc? Is he/she still employed with Kabam? Or been allowed to design another champ after Herc?

Don't know where demonzfyre gets his facts from but should read and then reread kabam mikes posts bc there was a big word missing in one of them and that word being (Not) as In not being nerfed. Don't go off on proff hoff he did it right and did his research you didn't.
