I'll just buy the King Groot piece

This Abs-Man fight is absolutely ridiculous like many others have said before me
If this is how the rest of WoW(Winter of Woe) is gonna be, I think I'd rather invest that time into grinding units and buying the KG piece for 5K units, and I advise people who also aren't feeling the fight to think about doing the same.

So far I've loved the Deathless acquisition, but this is personally a step too far and just not fun to me

I'd recommend taking your time, making sure you're doing the hard difficulty of apothecary everyday and try completing the 22hr events as much as possible and just do as many objectives as you can. When running apothecary, make sure you go in one time after exploration to see if you landed the 5% chance of a revive spawning, if one didn't spawn, then just quit and ignore it until the next day.

Well, (1) you're not accounting for Healing up, which is likely to be necessary for some opponents; and (2) even for people who do grind out every 22-hr Event, since you're talking about a minimum of 15 runs through, that only actually equates to 16 revives per run.

Which plenty of people will spend, given the difficulty set for some of the challenges (especially in week 5, which you'll have to run through multiple WoW opponents 5 times...).

Deciding that fully completing this challenge isn't for you, is not an unreasonable decision. For many of us, it's a very sensible one.

Personally, I think it's going to be excessively burdensome given the commitments I have in the rest of my life; so I'll enjoy the personal challenge of getting through a few WoWs, but without chasing 18 points.

For me it isn't the revives, it's the incredibly specific champion requirements. I am a Paragon player, so if I want to get the KG piece I have to complete all the objectives. For reference, it is generally agreed upon that She-Hulk and OG Hulk are the champs you want to use for the #gamma objective. In 5 and a half years of playing, I have yet to pick up either of those champions as 6* characters.

I guess I'm just out of luck then, huh? And I haven't even gotten to the difficult objective, #robot. It would be nice if the requirements were eased just a little bit to allow other viable options. I'm not saying that every gamma champ in the game has to be viable, but more than 1 or 2 per tag seems reasonable if they want people to actually have any hope of acquiring this.

Anyways, since I don't have the right champions the difficulty relative to the difficulty of simply grinding out 5k units is like a scale tipped all the way to one side. I hate arena grinding - but at least I can do that with anybody!

I doubt if Deathless KG is even worth it. He wont be immortal like Herc, even if he does, all of future game content is designed around Herc/Immortality. So, cant use him in everest content. If he is a mere trophy champ, then not worth the effort for me.

WoW rewards aren’t worth much if you are locked as paragon. Why would you blow all your free time, resources, and sanity chasing those? The content doesn’t match the investment.

So the only other carrot is the deathless piece. And we are chasing unknowns… we don’t know what KG will be like (probably just a trophy champ), we don’t know what other unit suck gate will be implemented on other pieces. Expand that to Thanos… we don’t know what future gates we will have, if any of these champs will be worth a thing… and even if Thanos will be worth it. All we have are some assurances he will be “meta”

At some point the unknowns along with the knowns (The very first objectives in WoW) outweighs the imaginary carrot.

Honestly there’s not really that much going on with the rewards outside of the T4 Alpha. The champion crystals will most likely let most people down for the effort they put in and there’s not really much T6CC. Everything else is pretty commonly obtainable now. The fact that if you do all 4 events of this and can’t get enough mats to rank 3 a 7* as paragon is ridiculous. It’s all about waiting to spend now or simply waste time doing frustrating/boring content like Necropolis. Progression level items really shouldn’t be hard locked behind content like this. Very out of touch with the players kabam.

well this content does look like its designed exactly in such way that peple would rather go and buy the piece, saving a lot of their time and mental health. and yes for those who are not valiant, the extra reward missed are not exactly world breaking, soo...

Now just sit back and wait for the KG piece to cost twice as much as the one for Gill. That will be the real perfection right there.

The sinister six tag has sandman as an option who is very safe to use although he is slow. #robot is much more difficult in general with the options we have.

This "deathless" thing was never fun for me. I seriously doubt that it can keep me interested 3 more cycles (after guillotine) to get Thanos. I would just give up. All these feel like absolute unit dump.
And now there is a dumb 10 energy per try cost in this tough content. This is easily one of the dumbest move I have seen in a while.

Kabam will run their numbers, if they find out that a vast majority of players are not playing the content they are designing and it is not hitting the revive/units spent they decided it needed. Next time they'll try to make a product that hits better their market.

The ultra "sweaty boys" MSD level are not going to spent what they want to spend, so for me, as a consumer, not playing a content that I find not enjoyable is the right thing to do.

Too bad for the piece it's too difficult content even more than a necropolis passage. With Hulk I arrived at 27% he regenerated at 80%, I keep my units for the 8.4 offer, I'm not going to get sick for that 😉

After burning through about 8 energy refills just trying to practice the fight on the Gamma Objective and getting no more than 11% off in a single run I think I'm also going to just save up units to buy this piece.
I'd entertain the idea of dumping revives and pots into this fight if I could bank on taking off a 10% each run, but Abs Man will just regen to 100% at the start of every run, so it'll be an endless loop.
I'm sure if I could just jump in regularly to practice over the next week and a half I could get good enough to get it done, but because of the energy cost I'd be hundreds of units into buying energy refills just for this one fight, while EQ, BGs and the SQ go untouched because of lack of energy. Unless I spent lose to 1.5k units on energy just to keep up with everything else.
Big L on the energy cost, it's not necessary... TRUST ME KABAM, we can feel the resource cost on this without hemorrhaging energy refills.
