Is This Crazy: Darkhawk v Abs Man

I haven’t seen much community discussion around Darkhawk as a potential Abs Man counter, but I’m thinking he might be great for it? At r5, sig 200, after an sp3 Darkhawk will have about 13k base attack and have placed a 30 second heal block on Abs Man. That gives you 30 seconds to get as close to another sp3 as possible. I know that may not be feasible due to the unstoppable, but you should be able to get close. And with a couple levels in collar tech to reduce Abs Man’s combat power rate, I could see this cycle working pretty efficiently.

Has anybody attempted this yet? How bad is this idea? Should I have my head examined?

    He's #10 on @Karatemike415 list.

    He might work

I tried with my 6* r3 ab20, damage is pretty good (compared to other robots) because of null mode and wing attack that bypass resistance, the real struggle is to get l3 before heal block expire, a r5 may work obviously better with higher combat power rate (beside higher stats lmao)

However, I stopped trying and got to start my second necropolis run, maybe I will try again if I'll have some revive left lol

I hadn’t even considered the wing attack part of it. I think I’m gonna take him all the way up and see how it goes. Right now it sounds like he’s looking at this fight and saying:

    Lol
Let me know how it goes! Another option would be play with l2 rotation so you can keep abs power low and have more chance to prevent regen

Update: Not (completely) crazy! It took me a fair number of revives. Some due to dropped inputs, some due to obnoxiously passive AI, some due to this just being a hard fight. But a one shot with Darkhawk is absolutely possible, and I’d argue he’s one of the better options for it.

    Now, here’s the breakdown:
    Rank: 5
    Boosts: Applied
    Recoils: Activated
    Relic: Vision
    Hawk: Dark

In your first fight, nothing really matters until you get to your sp3. You want to fire that off 1) when Abs Man is at very low power, 2) right after his unstoppable has ended, and 3) into him being stunned so you can dash straight in. You’re gonna be hitting pretty hard here, like 15k mediums, so you’ll want to make the most of this 30 second phase. If you’ve got the Vision relic, that’ll extend your heal block a little beyond the 30 seconds, which is very nice but not strictly necessary.

Keep an eye on your heal block. You can bait specials freely while you’ve got time on it, but as it’s tapering off, you’ll want to have baited a special and have Abs Man as at low power as possible (and hopefully not in a refined form because you’re gonna need to take blocked hits). At this point it’s time to join the turtle club. Hold block and try to reparry and counter attack with medium/medium if he’s below a bar of power or medium/light/light/light/BLOCK if he’s above one. Do this until you reach your sp3 again, then enter another blitz phase, repeat as necessary. If Abs Man has more power than you and will reach his sp3 before you do, it’s okay. Let him throw a special and counter it with your heavy to knock him out of his mode and prevent his regen from applying. He’ll get a little health back, but nothing that a five hit combo in Null Mode won’t claw back.

Congrats, that's pretty good, wonder if my 6*r3 boosted can do something 🤯
