Black Widow is actually (utility wise) really good for the challenge. Her damage is bad, but she has a lot of usefulness

Karatemike beat modok in under 4 minutes which is still faster than most abs man WoW fights. 95% DAAR is a very useful utility in Gauntlet where damage isn't as important as utility in most cases.

I think Hulk should have been part of this, would make this much easier.

On the contrary, black cat takes time to build up her DAAR, whereas Black widow gets it out the gate. Granted the times where that is actually useful is few and far between.

KarateMike’s challenges are well designed. They are smart and well thought out and they force the community to learn the value of often overlooked champs… that probably still could use a little love from a tune up but are still useful.

Where his challenge fails is the reward structure. OG BW and Thor only exist as 6stars… and both want high sig to be at their best, and R4 for the challenge to be manageable. IM, Antman, and Hawkeye are available as 7stars so this challenge turns bad pull luck good based on the power of an R1 7star, so that deserves a nod. Then there’s also the Zemo challenge… a champ that’s controversial hype train entry and “balancing” in the contest has made him a champ that many are seriously upset with as a rank up. Others love him, and in my opinion he serves a fun niche in my roster but still it’s a rank up that will leave some folks sour and he’ll wanna be R5 ascended to do the challenge if the best Zemo player in the world used double digit revives to do it. All told though to do his challenges the team is asking for somewhere between 17 to 26 t6b and t3a. That’s A LOT especially with 0 rank up materials in the rewards to offset the cost. I honestly don’t know how rewards were issued without considering this.

And I wanna be clear the rewards not considering this is on Kabam and not Mike. The same is true of the FinTech challenges as well…. Although that has other problems.

Is that really a good thing though? Creating content that demotivates 97% of the community to even engage with it? Why even bother creating it?

I get that it’s an optional challenge but then that’s true of everything in this game too. Content and rewards should motivate people to do it, otherwise make it a profile pic and a special title.
