Doc oc and antman synergy

It seems that the thorns synergy isn't working when placed in AW. Has anyone else noticed this issue?

How do you know it's not working on defense? I just tested it out in a quest and it seems to be working fine. Keep in mind, it's only on glancing hits, not all hits like thorns.

Because I watched an opponent take no damage whatsoever. You can't go thru a whole fight and not glance in tier 1. And none of the opponents champs were regen champs. And I've tried it on various + armor nodes.
