I don't think that's a mcoc issue, rather iOS doing this. Happens also to LINE that it gets restarted.

Not just an ios problem does it on android as well

It’s super annoying and apart from using a second device, I can’t find a way around it.

It's definitely a game issue because no other apps do this on iOS.

It only happens to me with Mcoc, but it did start with iOS 11, so it’s probably their compatibility update that is the problem. I’m used to it by now, so it doesn’t bother me too much anymore.
