Should I bother purchasing masteries before the mastery update?

I have been planning to save up units and purchase the masteries that I have not unlocked yet, like despair, deep wounds, assassin etc. However I heard there is going to be an update for the masteries, so would it be a good idea to save the units for when the update happens? Or should I just unlock whats available now. Also any idea how big the update will be or when?

    I want to point out that although Miike said there is something in the works, he also very explicitly said that even he doesn't know for sure that it will come out. Take that as you will, but it's certainly not a guarantee that changes are coming

    Waiting for a potential mastery revamp is not a good idea. Even if they did revamp masteries somehow, the ones already out will remain unchanged I would imagine.

    Just unlock what you can now.

    If your top champs inflicts 🩸, it is worth considering. I had NF for a long time and now Hit-Monkey. I am still uncertain of suicides so Despair, Deep Wounds and Assasin are unlocked.

    Go to webstore and claim the weekly crystal. If RNG goes your way, can have mastery core.

    Hate to break it to you but mastery 2.0 has been teased for like half of the game’s lifespan, it’s probably not coming any time soon.

    Also they've stated the costs aren't changing so there's even more reason not to wait
