Any Dust EQ tips?

I just did two runs in TB EQ 3.1, and am pretty annoyed by the Dust boss. Since I don't relish doing exploration and then the Gauntlet if there isn't a better strategy, anybody have any good tips?
I know placing an Incinerate helps keeps the Sand debuff under control (so Human Torch, BWCV, etc or getting to SP2 for Omega Sentinel), but what I find super annoying is the AI constantly dashing in, dashing back, and blocking. So invariably, even though my incinerates means I am usually at 0-1 Sand debuffs, her AI keeps blocking my attempts to intercept, leading quickly to a build up of Sand debuffs, getting a combo to the face, and then getting hit by the sandstorm.
I don't just want to use Hercules for exploration, as I am still wasting away so much time as the Dust AI keeps playing keep away and blocking. (Hercules Infuriate isn't really helping there).
Any tips as to better options, or ways to manipulate the AI to be less keen on blocking all the time?
