Am I using spot wrong?

So I awakened my spot and have been playing him in higher content but the one thing I’ve been noticing is that the amount of block damage I take is pretty high. Do you not do the portal block as spot and only throw specials or are you just suppose to tank the damage and use heals? Any advice is appreciated

Ikr? I don't understand it either... his blocking prof should be so high that its crazy, but it dosent seem like it at all

The first 2 portal block when you don't have charges hurts big, 7* spot with added block stat boost is the way to go now unfortunately

Ideally you want to portal block against specials with a lot of weaker hits like purgatory, falcon, and warmachine sp1 or punisher and Winter soldier sp2. Then only MM until you can sp2 and watch them melt.
