Side Quest Bug?

This objective says you get 1 point if you win fights in a Trial Side Quest:



I did Knull’s Trial of Symbiosis and did not get any points. I was expecting to land at 82-83 after that quest. Instead I stayed on 76.

Is there a bug? Or am I missing something?
