Wondering about war placement

Hey, we ended last season in Plat5, lost the first 2 wars or the season, but won the third, and now it is showing us as gold2. How did we drop in placements so quickly?

    Placements are based on points gained this season. You don’t start the season in the bracket you finished last season. Your war rating carries over as does your multiplier but if you lose your first few that placement is possible.

    Usually we stay about the same, maybe drop one level if we lose a couple. This is the biggest drop in such a short time I have noticed.

    The brackets are smaller since the introduction of six gold/plat tiers last few season, that may have something to do with it.
