Does seem like a viable Bullseye option but also seems INSANELY complicated. Hopefully it feels more natural to do than it sounded, or not all that necessary…because it sounds like an insanely stressful damage loop.

As well as Bullseye and a Onslaught, he should be an excellent Bishop counter - he's immune to Incinerate, a lot of his damage comes from Rupture, and I suspect his Power Creep ability is specifically designed to be maxed out by Bishop's delayed power consumption on Specials.

To be fair most of the recent techs counter Bishop quite well. Ironheart is another good Bishop counter with the rupture prefight. Even outside of the tech class Kushala is a good bishop counter

I'm worried about the rotation looks really complicated, he does however look like a solid Bullseye Onslaught counter which is great.
I hope it’s simpler than it looks like it usually is! I was worried Silk would be super unreliable after watching her deep dive and now she’s dominating everything for me in battlegrounds.
I think he looks fantastic on the utility side and the damage looks good, so if his rotation is viable, he should be great

I hope that is the case but I am a little bit skeptical tbh cause with Silk for example they showcased sp3 rotation only and that's why everyone thought she was garbage, nobody knew the sp2 would nuke so hard. This guy however they showcased all his special rotations and the damage looked decent but they only showcased it with the falters up so if you have to absolutely throw them while falter is up to get decent damage then that kinda sucks. I'd rather just stick with Ironheart in that case and save me the trouble, I hope that isn't the case though we'll see.

The big rupture burst come from the opponent being incinerated while you throw the sp2. The falter will help you use your heavy attack right after your throw the special, but nothing in his abilities seems to indicate that you can't parry heavy to incinerate the opponent, then throw the sp2.

After reading the spotlight, I am somewhat wary that we are in for another iDoom situation. Everything about iDoom's design went into being a really good Bishop counter, which ultimately leads him to be less good/useful in every other situation.
Here, all the call outs and being able to counter specific champions (Bullseye, Domino, etc) makes me wary that too much of his design capabilities is going to specific counters, which will leave his actual playstyle feel rough outside of those matchups.

The falter is a guaranteed way to heavy plus the taunt ensures they use a special. He has a lot of stuff that makes his loop make sense and not be impossible like Onslaught’s. Also, no need to pause anything like Onslaught does.
I reference Onslaught because he’s a champion with a very tight loop and literally no room for error.

He should be fine outside of those matchups. He has aspects of his kits that target specific defenders, but his damage loop does not seem to rely on invalidating defensive abilities like iDoom ramping his damage against mutants that can gain multiple prowess effects at once.
I really quite like the look of him - tons of utility; access to decent damage. And he looks like he's not going to be a pushover on defence, either; with non-contact mediums and unpunishable Specials.
Countering a lot of Miss mechanics, Evade mechanics, and being specifically good against several tricky defenders... He sounds like a really good addition to a Battlegrounds team
I'd note that his value is going to be significantly impacted by how much damage he's designed to deliver with those crit-replacement Ruptures.
Other champions who do this don't simply replace Critical Damage with instant whatever damage - Guardian deals way more damage with his instant Shocks than Sam Wilson does with his instant Ruptures.

Hmm.
Well, I've checked out the tags and he's definitely #Metal. That's disappointing for someone who otherwise had the potential to be pretty decent against Onslaught.

Also thank god they’re both more attack focused

A lot of champs have a ton of text, but their playstyle ends up being pretty simple and straightforward. Prowler is a prime example of that.
