The screen switched to portrait mode, and paused (or I somehow paused out of bewilderment) I rotated it back and the screen zoomed in which cut off the pause button. Just a heads up since I know people have reported similar problems already.

This turned out to be a software issue caused by Apple’s update if anyone is experiencing something similar you may need to re-update your phone.
