Are new Relics coming soon?

I know some of the relics havent affected the game as some had hoped, however i do like them, but currently I feel like I am running short on the relics that I have for my top champs , I was wondering if anyone has heard of new relics coming soon of if there has been any updates around them.

If Kabam scrapped the current implementation of Relics, getting rid of levels, embers, alloys, everything and instead:

1) Changed Relics so they could only attach to champions who had that character as a synergy, irrespective of class, and activate those synergies (example: attaching the Wolverine relic to Lady Deathstrike activates the True Hatred synergy for her).

2) Removed all benefits and effects from relics and instead they increase the Combat Power Rate, Regen Rate and Ability Accuracy of the attached champion by 3% to 6% based on the Rarity of the Relic and Sig level.

I'd be really happy with something like this. Simpler, easier, reuses existing mechanics and keeps the focus on champions. It would also alleviate the need to buff or rebuff quite a few champions.

What would this mean?
Punisher 2099 would love the CA WW2 relic - top 5% power control, no question
Hawkeye would benefit from the BW relic
Squirrel Girl would be useful against robots with the Sentinel relic
Wiccan would appreciate the Vision relic
CAIW would gain even more utility
And lots more...
