Alliances in 2024: Worth it?

Hey all, just wondering if people could list the benefits of alliances and also the grievances you face when in one nowadays. I haven’t played in an alliance in quite a while and I know stuff has changed and new things have been introduced like Raids. Last time I played, rewards felt outdated and every alliance mode felt like a slog, meaning it wasn’t worth the time especially with how busy I was. I have some more free time right now and I am really liking the game, particularly Battlegrounds, and I’m just wondering if an alliance is worth the hassle in 2024 for someone who wants some more rank-up materials (7r2, 6r5) and shards. Does it still feel like an absolute chore with very little reward?

Thanks for any insight!

I would say it all depends on finding the right alliance to suit what you like to do.

Our alliance for example, only has a requirement for AQ. Easy map 5 all days, and no raids. The rewards are nothing to write home about, but for what amounts to a total of 15 minutes a day, it's easy to earn some glory to buy what you want from the store.

Others are gonna be extremely AW focused. They have the opportunity for better rewards at the expense of needing to be a high performer in a mode that I personally hate.

Some will be BG focused, with minimum contribution amounts that can get expensive.

So yeah, it's all about a balance between the time/effort/resources you want to invest versus the rewards you want to obtain.

Ultimately though, I would say it's foolish not to join some form of alliance, as even the most laid back, zero requirement alliance, is going to allow you to get alliance rewards in events you otherwise wouldn't get.

The benefits are the extra rewards. If you enjoy battlegrounds, but find AW and AQ boring, you can find alliances that only care for Battlegrounds. That way you will play the game the way you do now, but you'll get extra rewards for the same effort.

I play aw for loyalty alone. I wonder why people skip aw off season? The main rewards from aw imo is loyalty. The seasoner wards are trash unless you are master alliance. So why y'all are skipping off season wars?

Because alliance war is boring as hell.

Teamwork makes the dream work, and a slow reward drip is better than no reward drip...
