question on new BG structure / rewards

People who say made victory track last cycle, where will they start in this new system? What about people who didn't make it that far?

In the past you would earn any "earlier rewards" after 5 fights... any changes to that? With this sudden announcement, the earlier we know what we would be getting the better so that people wouldn't risk going over any caps. As it is, there is less than a couple hours until the store resets / if this were to happen to a player, some players may feel it a bit unfair to "lose out on them".

Slightly less related: any thought to either having the season shortened to 3 weeks or extend the off season to 2 weeks? Just like AW, BG has a certain amount of burnout to it, and it just seems to be "on all the time". Maybe timing that BG, RAID, and AW can't all be at the same time or all be off at the same time, and having a rolling calendar where 1 if off a any given time could be lined up.

alternatively, there is some amount of time "to do other things in game like MQ" would be nice as it would also make for a convenient time for alliance recruiting, not always having this "sure I can go, but only after XYZ rewards", to then have ABC rewards then be looming a few days after that. No-one wants to leave in war off season if BG rewards are about to drop, then need to wait for AQ cycle to end, etc. Even if this were just a 48 hour window, it would do wonders for alliance recruiting.

Seeding will still be a thing with the new system, except you’ll now start 8 tiers below where you finished last season instead of 6. Only exception to this rule is if you finished in gc in which case you’ll start the next season in diamond 5.
