Character Development in 2024

I want to start out by saying that this isnt a Kabam hate post, honestly I love this game and have been playing for close to a decade. The changes that they have made recently to BG / the medal system, the war tactics, raids have all been awesome and bring a lot of fun to the game. That on top of the fact the animations are always awesome (except you sable) and seeing new characters for us to use has kept the enjoyment strong. However there is a trend that I feel has been developing and other player have mentioned it, which is the ever growing complexity to the new characters.
In the past when a new character came out there might be a mechanics or interaction that would be new, but you can understand it and it made since. Now the new characters are so over developed it takes weeks to figure them out and how to counter/ use them. Ive seen a few posts talking about this from a defender standpoint where every new champ seems to have unavoidable damage or requires few specific counters if you want to get them down. And for me this development is starting to take the fun out of the game. I am not sure if I am alone in this sentiment but I want to provide this feedback and see if others feel the same.
I am not saying to go back purely to the basic arcade game kick and punch but maybe reverse the trend of over development.
I know Kabam makes money selling new champs but I think people will pay no mater what as we just love to use new characters; they dont need to be the specific counter or mandatory defender to get people excited. Id love to hear what other people think and hope we can use this as a tool to show Kabam how we feel about the character development thus far.
