Most Influential Champion

With tons of champions now in the game what champion has been the most Influential? Either for just Questing, AW defense and offense, or just having to hard counter for BG or in general. Personally I believe Doom had a big jump and changed a lot in the game. With his usage in Wars and just questing with him was a big thing for quite a long time.

Blade when we came out was insanely sought after because he was finally a hard counter to the, at the time, worst defenders in AW - Magik & Dormammu; plus he just straight up cancelled out many other champions and his synergy with Ghost Rider & Starky was a massive team.

Quake completely changed how people looked at the game and she straight up neutralised so many parts of the game, with terms like "Quake & Bake" and "Quake & Shake" becoming very common. She's still 5* locked because of that, although I wonder, in this new world of BGs where she would just be way too slow, whether she'd still be OP as a 6*...

Dr Doom was pretty huge when he came out and became the best champion in the game, and he's still way up there.

But for most influential? You'd be hard pressed to go past Hercules.

I would say hulkling, there’s not a better dual threat and he takes a lot of meta defenders

God I've been loving Hulkling in this BGs so damned much. He is NEVER banned from my deck!

    Nimrod and Apocalypse.

When Apocalypse first came out, some people thought he was mid (see @KDSuperFlash10 posts), but over time he became one of the most influential mutants in the game (and my personal favorite). He had the Horseman mechanic, which made trash-mid tier mutants like Cable god tier, he had other mechanics that were unique at the time (reducing Purify ability accuracy by 100%, he can go immune to Disorient (only one immune to disorient), Bleed, and Incinerate, he has a unique mix of debuffs (Bleed, Degeneration, Poison, Weakness, Concussion), an evade counter, etc. He was basically the mutant utility king with great damage, and is (probably) one of the best mutant questers in the game. Please make him a 7* Kabam, he'd be back in business nowadays especially in BGs. He would probably be perfect due to his awakening ability not being that useful

Nimrod was great from the very beginning. He was and is the best mutant slayer (in my opinion), he has great damage, etc. Also a lot of traditional tech utility such as Armor ups, Special lock, general tankiness, regeneration, shock damage, etc. He also had some unique things in his kit such as straight up removing regeneration and prowess, unstoppable, energize (commonly seen on Cosmics). The only things holding him back is that one, he cannot counter some mutants like Dust, Bishop and Onslaught especially, and 7* rank 3 defenders. Will Kabam make him a 7* to solve these issues?
