I use mangog, invincible iron man, chee'ilth, Hercules, and immortal hulk for the synergies but I'm wondering if there's a better combo here that I'm missing

Start with upgrading gladiator and infamous iron man and Hercules, those are really good. You got unlucky with your 6* Mangog. What is your story progression?

Hulkling and Warlock are versatile and solve many problems. They, along with Torch, will get your far.

You’ll quickly continue to be getting more and more champs, so any particular Synergy team you might be focusing on may well become inconsequential.

In general you’ll want to have at least one good one that is Immune to things (ie, Robots), and someone who can deal out good “Damage over Time” (DoT) effects.
