Reverse regen is a dead ability.

Seems to me that a few great champs for their ability to reverse regen is pretty much useless for that ability. Seems like the node that says “regen cannot be reversed” is pretty standard now in situations where these champs are needed.

Like why even have it reverse healing if every single use of it is denied. Might as well just be a heal block and thats it
I'll still 7r3 sig200 him tho
Regen rate modification immunity is not showing up all over the place in champion kits either. Looking back since January of last year, the only champions who have had any such immunities are Patriot (but this makes sense for a skill champ with reduced base regen rate, it’s the same deal as Kingpin and Attuma), Lady Deathstrike, and buffed Mr Sinister (used to prevent heal reversal, now just straight up can’t have his regen rate reduced). Every other champ released in that time frame is vulnerable to it. In fact, several of the champs released have regen AND are immune to heal block, which means regen rate reduction is actually valuable as your only effective means of regen control in those matchups (Werewolf, Kindred, and Serpent all have this property, and Adam kinda does). Worth noting that LDS is also effectively immune to heal block so it’s not like regen rate reduction is singled out that much against her.
The only thing that gives me pause here is the Provacateur defense tactic; I think it’s weird that it caps regen rate reduction (and ability power rate reduction) given that multiple Secutor champs make heavy use of it. Even then, though, the highest the cap gets is 0% so those champs still have value for shutting the regen off.
Indomitable was like the very first node he had
I say this with as much sarcasm as i can fit into the words, but this is a thing that actually happened back in the day. When Blade was the flavor of the month, there were people actually claiming that releasing a bunch of bleed immune champs was a form of stealth nerf on the champ. Which is literally the argument above: that if a thing exists, counters to that thing shouldn’t exist because that is greedy/lazy/poor game design.
It sounds ridiculous when it come to bleed. Except once upon a time real people actually tried to make that argument. And the current ones involving regeneration rate or masteries or anything else are just Mad Libs replacements of that same idea.
The devs are never going to stop adding new effects to the game, and they are not going to stop making counters to those effects, or counters to those counters, because no matter how many posts some people make about how that is bad game design, that’s actually proper game design. If you don’t like it, you don’t like it. But claiming it is bad game design when anyone with any sort of background in game design would know that’s literally the point to iterative design is really ice skating uphill.
Does anyone actually think there’s a game designer alive that would look at such a comment and go, oh, well, I guess it’s bad I should stop doing it then. Me, and everyone else in the world.
