Count Nefaria Evade Bug

Nefaria supposed to evade on a well timed block n can counter hit the opponent. But against Mystics with unstoppable specially Destroyer, how does this supposed to happen that Nefaria takes a hit even after evading. That makes him useless specially in AW Path 5 where Destroyer needs to be intercepted.
If his evade doesn’t work n takes a hit, it’s a ridiculous waste of all the money spent to get him from store purchases. Can someone clarify his Evade against unstoppable opponents?
