Any champ can cheese nodes, it's about the fundamentals of the game. RedSkull is a change to that. What is the difference between RedSkull and Thing?

I mean captain rogers is pretty much right, Red Skull’s nullify immunity only works against champs because Kabam simply decided that’s how they wanted him to be as some form of arbitrary balance. There’s no rule that his immunities (or any other champion’s) have to be all-encompassing like that. He’s not the first champ to have abilities that only work against champions (that honor goes to the duo of Adam and Moondragon) and he won’t be the last. You’re not getting any other answer than that because it’s the correct answer, even if it’s unsatisfying.

You are completely missing the point, RedSkull is an average champ. Making him immune for those nodes wouldn't break the game. Shuri is better than RedSkull yet she doesn't gain precision buffs but other buffs which would be because of the node. What RedSkull has is a counter for champs but if a path or node has any nullify, he's never gonna be chosen but Shuri would.

You’re being real harsh calling Red skull an “average champ”, if he’s average then Jesus the power creep has gotten way worse than I thought. Champs can always be better, Kabam just didn’t feel like giving Red skull that extra bit of sauce in the same way they didn’t feel like making any number of good but not broken champs even better. It’s not that deep, he’s still very good regardless.

And if you must know, there’s plenty of reason to want to use Red skull over Shuri. Some nodes and fights want you to have buffs and Red skull provides there. Have fun using Shuri against buffed up or Havok. Red skull has heal block, that’s useful sometimes. He has very potent power drain capabilities that can seriously shut down fights Shuri can’t. It’s not like he’s screwed over completely against things like buffet anyways, you just gotta play more carefully.

It's not that deep. He is perfectly balanced now. He is perfectly balanced even if he gets nullify immunity from nodes. It's just kabam don't want to give him that ability. Your argument would be right if he's the only champ like this.

Shuri is better than red skull and shuri is better than red skull in nullify nodes. At the same time shuri don't have power control or armor buff. She can't be used against havok or tech paths where you need armor buff, But red skull can be used. Different champs have different abilities and different usecases

Red skull and shuri have completely different use cases. Both cannot be compared.

It’s this. Red Skull’s buff was designed to make him a potent defender. If he did not have counterplay to abilities like nullify, then the majority of the Mystic class would eat his lunch. He’d be free real estate and not at all a scary defender.

On the flip side, there are two reasons why he is not immune to node based buff interference. First is because he isn’t built to be a solution to those challenges. Kabam didn’t want people reaching for Red Skull when they saw, for example, a power snack node. The devs likely felt that it would be too much utility for his kit, which is fair because he has a lot of utility.

The second reason is that it would limit the devs room to design around him. For example, this month’s Morbius boss in EQ 1.1 has a node that when you parry him, it nullifies a buff off of both champions. There are other nodes like this throughout the game. I could see Kabam developing like a SoS style fight for Red Skull in which he is armor break immune but there are nodes which allow you to nullify his armors with skilled gameplay.

Tl;dr: Red Skull has these immunities tailored the way they are because the devs want him to have the immunities tailored the way they are.

His kit is old. There was no distinction back then b/w champion kits and nodes. Disorient specifically causes problems for Archangel. Even disorients from champions' base kits will fail archangel's parries.

And if you go try nodes that place concussion on archangel, he is immune to it
