Groots SP2 not stopping Thor Ragnarok's Power Gain [Under Investigation]

So just like the title says, Groot's 2nd special will not stop Thor Ragnarok's Boon of the God's. He continues to gain power even after being knocked down by the special. Not that many are using Groot to attack but thought I would let you all know.
