New event notification icons

The new event notification icons are incredibly annoying. There is a new event at least every 7 hours, so my notifications always show 2 unless I open the events screen and click on each event to clear them. This is incredibly annoying. Just opening the events screen window should clear them unless you have an actual reward to claim. Better yet, the notifications should only show the number of rewards you have to claim.
