I have a hacker in my account and nothing is being done about it

JokerFaceJokerFace Member Posts: 6
I have changed my password several times and tried several times to contact support but unfortunately to no avail. I keep getting logged out. I didn't know that it was allowed to hack into other accounts. I have never given out my password and why is it in the game that if you change the password the person still has access to the account because it is linked to their device as long as they don't delete the game. So changing this password is completely pointless. I would like my account to be checked and all linked devices to be removed and I would like to improve the security that accounts are normally logged out when you change your password and I'm not talking about a Google link here because no one can take that from me without my Google account email. I'm talking about a kabam id password email.

I'm pretty sure you will find the answer on your own and its more stupid than you think...
You should change your google account password and log out all devices from it too..

This could be a 2nd device logged in with his Google account, which is scarier than just the MCoC account.

If I had found out myself, I wouldn't have started a discussion like that. You can really save yourself the hassle of making such pointless comments.

It's not the Google account that's the problem, but the kabam id. Nobody can get into my Google account. It's protected with multiple security measures. This is about the kabam id.

We've been around the block with this a few times. Why would the hacker choose YOUR account?
You say you didn't give out your information, but at the end of the day hacking in this game really isn't a thing. If someone could hack an MCoC account, well the first question is why would MCoC be what they use their skills for? Seems silly. If someone could hack an MCoC account, why wouldn't they go for one of the top accounts in the game? What makes your account so special that you would be the first player on the forums in like 2 weeks claiming that your account is hacked?
Someone knows your password, and has access to other things that allow them to change it, and it is highly unlikely that they guessed their way in there.

If you've changed your kabam password multiple times and someone is still in your account, then the next logical step is to assume it might not be connected to your kabam email and password. Just saying

I actually don’t understand what you’re saying or how this could happen the way you are saying it is.

Your gmail account is linked or not linked to your Kabaam account?

If it’s not linked, they are 2 separate things.

Something else to note: in mcoc, the first account that logs into the app becomes the default account of the device. So if you had an old phone with mcoc on it and just logged out there before selling that phone, the person you sold your phone to would still have access to your account without even needing to log in, so changing your password wouldn't do anything because they don't need your password to have access to your account.

or someone has hacked my password and used it as the first login and so he can always get in even if he logs in with a different account he then only needs to log out and he is back in my account the first logical explanation

    Let’s clarify this.

You have access to your email/gmail account that you signed up for the game with?

You changed your game password but other old devices are able to get in with old or not having to re-authenticate with new password?

Just change your google password, unlink devices, there is an option for it, to logout all devices from it 🙄

If it’s device authentication rather than user authentication, that’s a pretty slippery slope.

Brother, you’re not the first one to come into these forums and say they have been hacked, mods will close this thread soon, submit a ticket. There’s nothing the forums will do for you.

4 potential scenarios. I’ll forget about #4 here (another person is able to login to your Google PlayCenter account. And that of course is *IF* you had been using GameCenter yourself to have linked to your MCOC account for logging in yourself), and focus on the 3 others.

    (1) You “bought” this game account from someone else. And that person obviously still has access to the game, because it was played on their device before yours. Nobody will have sympathy here then.

(2 - as mentioned) That used to be your device, and you sold it or gave it away to someone else. Not sure if “wiping” the device first will actually result in it being “unlinked” from your game account. They might keep that device info on Kabam Servers, and might still come up as a match even after someone else starts using the device (?)

(3 - and maybe most likely) There was a time where maybe you didn’t have access to your own device. So you “borrowed” a family or friends device to download MCOC onto, to be able to get in and do a daily something, when you didn’t have your own device.
If that was the first occurrence of MCOC on their device you used, your game account is thus the default McOC account on their device, even if you are no longer “logged in” to MCOC on it.

(Actually a 5th, you account shared yourself with a teammate, so they could move you along in AQ/AW while you were on vacation or sleeping, etc. But supposedly you said prior that is not the case).

If 2 then that would be a HUGE issue.

Device registration I get. But not authentication.

With all these “hack” posts, I’m actually surprised that Kabam doesn’t have 2FA/MFA.

But I guess that would probably just cause more whining.

Yeah right.. you mean "Hack", cause you know hackers see a lot of gain on an MCoC account...

Hackers don't hack into something like a mobile game to mess with a player that makes them zero monetry gain. .
I had someone hack my credit card login earlier this year and when they realized they couldn't get any money or buy anything, they simply paid my bill early and in full.

Not every hacker is some elite level con artist, hacking accounts is easy these days and people are more evil than ever.

Wait, he/she hacked into your bank account and paid for your bills? Where can I find a hacker like this? I’m broke too and could use some evilness on my mortgage.

I'm assuming this is a jok since I would called that a hacker. Most likely a spouse or an Angel from above.
