How to calculate my points earned for Battlerealm if I lose a GC match

I am trying to see how many more matches I need to play to reach 5k as I am about 4.1k. Just lost and seems that my points were deducted for on 4174 to 4171. What gives?
Is one match considered all 3 rounds?
For my last match I used elder marks and lost first 2 rounds so I thought I would earn 28 points for completing one match. But I was deducted 4 points.
Wanted to calculate how many matches I need to play to reach 5k for. 4.1k. Assumed if I lose every match I would need to play 30 matches or roughly 5 per day. But if my points are deducted for losing it will be like one step forward two steps backward unless I win a match by stroke of luck
