Shathra's pre fight ability:Divine wasps-totems is lacking

Do you agree with this?
We were introduced to these mega support type champions, who can boost a variety of champions back when Apoc was released, and it's such a cool concept.
It started with Apoc who boosted mutants,
Then Galan who boosted Cosmic champs,
And now Shathra who's boosting Spider verse heroes!
Apocalypse boost granted a handful of boosts, like:
1. More offensive ability accuracy
2. Full Bleed resistance
3. A nice Prowess.
(Alongside more benefits)

With Galan he granted Cosmic champs:
1. Power burn resistance
2. Resistance to damaging effects
3. Unblockable

Then Shathra came along and boosted Spider verse heroes with the following:
1. Poison immunity+Fury passives (since the furies are dependent on Poisons I've included it in the same one)
2. Unblockable

And yeah that's it.
The thing is, we see a decrease in how much is put into these pre fights with each release, but we only get like 1 of these a year at most, so it should be better.

In my opinion nothing here screams Wasp totems, you know?

An ability that I think can work great for a potential buff to the pre fight ability:
A new passive called "Astral sting" what's that? Like a power sting, but inflicts energy dmg, and I guess the dmg shouldn't be instant, but in a lot of dots, like Shathra does during her own specials. What would put these passives on the opponent? Idk, maybe 1 for each unblockable (from the pre fight) special attack hit landed?

Anyway, yeah, I just want the pre fight to feel more Wasp-izing, or better yet, Wasp totem-izing. Cuz at the end of the day, comics wise, the pre fight makes this:

Into this:

I think Shathra herself should also have some sort of immunity, it’s weird that she doesn’t

The big benefits are definitely in the specific synergy bonuses that only apply to specific spiderverse champs. I think some of those definitely justify the prefight usage, but I wouldn’t say no to some bigger bonuses in the base prefight since not all the spiders get specialized synergies. I like the “astral sting” idea you mentioned. Maybe you could instead give them a daunted debuff to emphasize damage during specials just like Shathra does. It’d be cool, but I imagine Kabam will probably just leave it as is.

One thing that's common among all spiders is they inflict some kind of Debuffs. So if shatra can increase the duration of all non stun debuffs by, let's say 20%, for horseman spider, it'll be helpful for all champs.

Lore wise, why Daunted? This is a mutant ability if anything

Why not? I feel pretty daunted looking at Shathra and whatever that spider-pig-wasp amalgamation is. Shathra deals big damage during her specials, daunted would make her wasp-totems deal bigger damage during specials. And yeah daunted is fairly aligned with mutant traits but it’s also attached to literally only one champ at the moment so I want to see it used more. Daunted is just “more damage during specials” anyways, it’s generic enough that I don’t feel like it has to only be used on mutants.

I thought the same but then someone pointed out to me that the good stuff is in the synergy, not the baseline totem.

Galan’s heralds benefit can range from occasionally useful to you wouldn’t notice it if you didn’t have it. The benefits sound more useful than in actual practice (my heralds in Incursions have maybe only benefited once when I threw a special into a block by accident)

Apoc’s horsemen is helpful on every mutant past present and future, and also has some specific synergy benefits.

Shathra’s totem seems like something you wouldn’t notice, but the synergy itself potentially grants that champion a new ability or change to playstyle. I think that can be pretty powerful.

Personally, I know Apoc’s version is the best but its likely too powerful for Kabam to use that version. If we are choosing between the Galan model and the Shathra model, the Shathra model seems much more interesting.

The only question would be is when new Spiderverse heroes get added if they will get Totem synergies as well or get ignored like Silk.

    Yes,
Speaking of Onslaught, I also believe Neuroshock shouldn't be exclusive to mutants. Think of Neuroshock as an energy form of rupture. Tigra for example, she was the first Rupture dealing champion, later on we got more Rupture champions that aren't mystic such as Spidey 2099. The same could apply with Daunted in future champs.

Silk wasn't corrupted by Shathra in the comics, that's why surely (pretty disappointing) however they did ignore 2099

So strong we still see it used everywhere… says almost no one.

high level war? idk, i was using it in tier 2, if it makes a fight safer and you have a relatively easy way to ramp apoc, theres literally no reason to not use it, i would normally plan for it when bullseye was on 49 and 50. it makes toad and sunspot way safer, makes prof x ing the boss safer too.

apoc has gotten less relevant because of how easy story has gotten, and him being slow for bgs. the prefight still has its use though

I think one for an iron man variant that gives a character "nano-tech" would be awesome @Darkraw346

Having her dupe maybe could play into a little bit better of a pre fight? I like her design and play style so I def wouldn’t want that to be changed

A suit of armor pre fight can be cool
Personally I need Bastion with his Prime sentinels program as pre fight

War Machine has the "one fight only" prefights going on, but imagine if that carried over an entire quest.

As well as War Machine, Viv has a prefight ability to benefit other #Hero champions - although I don't think I've ever used it...
