Reminding Me Why I Quit This Game for 2yrs

You’d think a game that makes millions from us could do the bare minimum and have a stable game. But instead it’s “server down” and “unknown error” again and again. This time it cost me a war death. Had the 1-shot. Game kicked me out at the victory screen. And of course it comes back penalizing me with half my champ dead, the defender full health, and giving the opponent a kill.

I took 2yrs away, and came back a couple months ago. Pushed from uncollected to thronebreaker. And now I’m back loathing the game again — not because it’s not fun, but because it’s not stable. Again, the bare minimum for a game.

Yesterday, same errors cost me a BG win too. Kicked me out and came back to a loss.
Kabam, you really make it hard to be excited about playing your game when I never know when I’ll be randomly booted and penalized.

Exactly my frustration. Congrats on the game “enhancement”, and “here look, we dropped a new quest and champ” —while ignoring the looming issue of server instability.

Oh, and also, after my war fight I was going to do a quick run thru of Arena again for Emma. But of course never got to do that again either. I’m putting in a ticket if I miss her.

but In that war tier a death due to bad servers wont cause your alliance any problem tbh. It's a shame but it is what it is sometimes.
You'll live.

And in general case like the issues with bg disconnects, make sure to restart game before doing important stuff.

30 minutes before previous BG season ended.
It ate up my win, gave both of us a draw. And also ate the elder marks.

There’s a difference between the entire game going down for everybody (which it did today).

Versus your running instance of the game, on your device, getting overloaded in resources/memory/etc, and it eventually crashes on you.

I get it not going to cost us the wars but It’s also 900 points in the war solo event and I’m under 4k points away from the last milestone. But I had to give away the kill to another player who had a full-health champ.

For the BG kick, it just brought me back to the main screen and didn’t give me an option to restart the fight.

I don't know the last time my game crashed. Like years since I can remember.

The game hasn’t crashed like that for a long time. Perhaps stay away from it because the only correlating factor I can see is you, my friend.

honestly, @DukeZman , once I accepted it might be my device, and make sure I leave the game for a few and come back before facing tougher content (the content with the 50% health penalty), this decreased for me by ~95%. may help for future?

On a related note, I got a new phone about two or three weeks ago and haven’t had a lag or crashing issue since. Prior to that I was having all kinds of issues on my iPhone 13. It sucks, but the way this game is going you really do need a very up to date device to play it on.

Obviously today’s issue is different, the servers did go down for about 20 minutes. But this does not happen often at all. Somebody else mentioned that it happened once last month, and I do vaguely remember that, but prior to that I can’t really think of the last time the game went down. When I first started playing, it went down almost regularly and for a long time each time. We got compensation packages practically monthly due to server stability issues. This game has come a long, long way.
