Intercepting

Im doing a necropolis run at the moment and roughly twice every fight I'll do what I would think is a clean intercept, the AI doing a clear medium dash which I try to intercept, but the intercept wont connect and theirs will take priority over mine. I've looked on forums and videos on this and have found nothing. Its only started since the 60 fps update, anyone else experiencing this? Is the dev team aware of this if it IS a bug? (Sorry if this is well known I don't interact with this forum much).
