R3 serpent or someone else; does he have uses outside of defence?

Hi all, I finally duped serpent and as I don't have a single R3 cosmic, I was originally going to take him up.

I run suicides all the time and his cheat death seemed like a useful way of de-risking them.

But, is he just a defender??? I like to rank people I'll use in wider content (despite have max sig, 4*, 5* and 6* korg from over the years) and was wondering if I'd get better day to day value from someone else? I use my 6* max sig ascended corvus, medusa, hulking, herc, cgr and 7* venom in a lot of content *and* BGs.

(I also have 4 unopened titans and will almost definitely dupe maestro and will get deathless thanos)

Who would you take up?

If you're a fan dkg, maybe wait till the carinas drop ? Although the necro challenge will be later on?

Venom js a great choice. So is gladiator. Serpent is a good attacker. Especially against armour up champs

Having r3 unduped serpent myself, He is such a safe option to use vs tech defenders in BGs that it's ridiculous.

Serpent isn’t know for being a great short or medium fight attacker, but he is considered a lot better on attack in longer fights. Considering how much he has in his kit, he will always be useful in one way or another. 7* R3’s are naturally useful for the casual questing scenario anyway. Serpent is OP overall, and I doubt there’s anyone who regrets taking him to R3.

He is literally one of the best champs you could use for questing. He is a cheatcode for current AoA prowler fight, for example. lots of utilities and is a great tech counter. Very reliable anti evade/miss champ. r3 him ASAP

I solo’d aoa with serpent at r2 unduped, he did it really quickly, quicker than I thought to be honest,

Happy to see Serpent getting some love for his offensive prowess. Great questing champ and is a force in long form content as well. Easy ramp, sustainability, easy access to specials, immunities, miss/evade counter. List goes on.
