New Alliance - Banquet rewards

Hi,
can anyone tell me that if I joined an alliance today, will I qualify for the Grand Banquet rewards?
KabamJon on stream said that one has to be a member for atleast 14 days in the current alliance to be able to qualify for the rewards.
So, lets say, I joined today..then Grand Banquet starts on 20th Dec..people will start buying/opening crystals and unlock milestones. Now for me, I wouldn't be able to qualify for atleast 5-6 days. But will I be able to get the rewards AFTER 5-6 days or will I completely miss the rewards like your usual Battlegrounds Alliance milestones?

You would just need to wait out the rest of the eligibility period. In years past there would be a timer on the rewards to tell you when you would qualify. Just had to be sure NOT to buy or open any of the crystals until you then.
