Mr Sinister 2 genetic codes a fight

I noticed that my duped Mr Sinister sometimes gain 2 codes after winning a fight. Does anyone know why? I do not see this in his kit.

I've posted about this too. He sometimes gains a charge even when he doesn't win a fight. No idea why, nor have I seen the team acknowledge it.
