The Worst Carina Challenge

I’m back after beating the final Carina challenge (Dimensional Beings) and wow, this one was…interesting. Firstly, I ran out of all my big boosts and health potions so this was done using 10% boosts which was a mistake. I bought a few potions along the way but I realized I should’ve saved a ton
My team:
7* r3 Chavez
7* r2 Kushala
7* r1 Spot
6* r5A CGR
6* r5A FAM
Odin (solo): Super simple Kushala fight. I just spammed sp2 soul barb and he melted. She also regens the block damage so she’s really awesome for this fight
Claire (2 revives): I actually kinda like this fight? It’s a fun game of watching the reverse controls and ensuring you play around death touch. Chavez has a combo extender to stall for time and spams a ton of specials so you can usually stall the death touch nicely. The only thing to watch for is the reverse controls switching mid special (for the sp2) cause I dashed in once accidentally and it was game over. Just build dimensions with Chavez and sp2. Use the relic and sp1 to wait out death touch
Shang Chi (3 revives): FAM is amazing here. You cap his damage at 10% and you can actually go a large majority of the fight without baiting a special at all. Don’t trigger his cleanse charges and build 3 power things and sp2. Even with minimal boosts I think it was like 60k per burst on that. I played super defensively and tanked a few of his bursts using FAMs protection. You can also heal a bit from the double medium which’ll give you a slow debuff
Squirrel Girl (3 revives): FAM is the major viable option here. I took in Chavez at first and forgot she goes unstoppable when stunned so that was a mistake. Just knock her down when she starts building ruptures on you and burst her down. She was light intercepting like a pro against me and cost me a little more than I expected (along with not being able to heal up)
Silver Centurion (1-2 team revive, 2 solo revives): I just threw all my remaining champs at him, revived them, then took in CGR + FAM. CGR did a decent chunk and FAM took care of the rest. Same thing, just play defensively and use sp1 and sp2
Spidey 2099 (6 revives): This is the worst fight. It’s such a slog, no one’s a great option, and it’s fully rng. I took in Chavez twice and she did like 16% per attempt with alright crit rng. You let him build his power charges and spam heavy in the corner and I think with big boosts you’d be able to maybe get 25% per try? It’s super tedious though. I used FAM for the majority of attempts. I just threw sp1 and sp2 again but there was a lot to worry about. 2099 was also a master interceptor somehow and reverse controls were a bigger pain here. You also have to take the hits to stop the power gain and if you get clipped through block you’re likely to take massive rupture burst here. With a reliable AI and boosts I’d say FAM could potentially do this in 3 revives or so but I just couldn’t get him down in that many. Name of the game here is either Chavez or FAM with great intercepting
Sunspot (1 team revive and 2 solo revives): At this point I was half asleep and annoyed, most champs on this team rely on specials for damage which sunspot punishes. It’s a fairly simple fight though, longer. I kept throwing specials by accident and killing my champs which was stupid but I’d say anyone who’s actually paying attention should get this down pretty easily. Nothing special here, use anyone and just chip him down. It’s a bit of a slog cause of his node though
From what I understand this challenge was made with the intention that the player would use consumables. I thought it was the worst of the challenges because of 2099 solely, and some other fights were actually alright
Some tips:
- Like I said before, Chavez is great for Claire. Prolong combos and wait till the end of relic stuns to start combos when she has death touch. It’s better to play defensively and stall here and her DT has a cooldown. Build a few of the power control dimensions as well or she could hit sp3
- For Shang I’d recommend playing defensively and healing to full each try. FAM can definitely do this in 2-3 revives consistently and you don’t even have to play his game to get him down cheap. Remember reversed controls and don’t trigger cleanse. I stuck to MLLL and backing away and holding block
- Just play SC like you would Shang (defensively) I made a mistake throwing everyone at him and it cost me more. FAM all the way here unless you wanna try CGR aptitude rotation
Rewards gave me a 7* Dragon Man (new champ I’ll take it) and a 7* tech gem that I put into Prowler!

CGR = not at all. He’s more of an optional pick and I just brought him along for the sake of it! FAM can handle any of his fights better imo unless you’re very skilled at the aptitude rotation
Chavez = Not mandatory either but very nice to have. She does Claire the best imo (unless you have a r3 spot or something) and she’s very good for 2099 stun chain
Revives? which we have to throw in this challenge anyway.
...
I didn't want to waste time with Chavez on s99.
I had plenty revives, I would throw more revives on fam just to avoid the chavez heavy spam for 40 minutes.
