It's not just Asian characters who suffer being cultural archetypes. The most prominent Irish superheroes are Shamrock I and II and Banshee and his daughter Siryn. Two characters based on Irish people being lucky and two based around the Irish mythical monster the banshee.
Then we have the Arabian Knight with his turban, scimitar and flying carpet, Conquistador-armour wearing Argentinean Defensor, Aboriginal Australians Gateway and Manifold with dream-time based teleporting powers, Native Canadian Shaman with mystic powers etc.
