Unpopular opinion: I'm not interested in "deathless" champs

Am I the only one who is just uninterested in obtaining any of the deathless champs? As a Valiant player, I have several pieces of Vision, King Groot, She Hulk and Guilly, but I don't like any of the deathless characters or their gameplay enough to spend the time and resources it requires to complete the set and unlock the champs.

They keep adding "deathless" champs and I really wish they would spend that effort on new relics.

I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I just wanted to see if anyone else is too.

I'm pretty happy with the effort going into deathless champs and something to chase rather than something obtainable by spinning a crystal. It's been a fun chase for me.

Why did you wait for the last deathless champ's release day to complain about how they "keep adding" them? The road to acquiring these champs had plenty of rewards that were worth the time and resources on their own. In all reality, earning the deathless champs has been a bonus that now leads to an additional piece of content that has more rewards.

It was completely free to obtain all these champs. And took such little effort besides maybe you could make an argument for completing Necro.

Anyone complaining about deathless champs is anti-fun. What’s not to love about this whole deathless phase we’ve gone through?

Being sincere.... To be called Deathless, they should have

- immortality (Deathless =Immortal lol)as Hercules, for a lot of seconds
- at least double health or damage.

Some, like Vision ,even the specials are the same.

I agree with the OP. Not really thrilled by the deathless champs. I'd rather use my time and resources on other areas of the game than the chase for champs I won't use much. If I get bored maybe but nah. I'd rather Kabam focus on buffing champs that need it honestly. One deathless champ a year to chase perhaps.. They should fix all the bugs first before adding champs and sagas to get them IMO.

Why do people have this mentality of mcoc being done by like 5 people. They have artists, programmers, testers, Designers, and a slew of other disciplines all working on various aspects of the same game. Some things got mixed up either in translation or deployment of this update they are addressing them with a fix. No software is perfect and stuff happens. But to blame the stuff happening because the devs created multiple chase champions across a year of content is ludicrous at best as a take.

If you like them, or you like the chase to get them, that's totally fine. I'm not trying to take anything away, or insult, or suggest their worth to you. I'm just not into them and that's my opinion.

I haven't gone for them either. Nothing about chasing monochrome versions of existing champs really thrills me. That said, their existence doesn't hurt me, and if other folks like them then more power to them.

The amount of time and attention to detail , tracking where each piece is going to be available, over the course of one year turned me off to the who concept. I got the first deathless champ and then couldn’t be bothered.

The bolded part is key here - plenty of players have become bored with the game, whether it be completing all available content, boredom with the predictable schedule of AW/BG seasons and 2 new champions a month, etc. Having a new carrot, whether players are interested in the new part or the carrot part, is a good incentive for fighting off boredom. I do anticipate that, much like the SoS/AoA, that the newness will wear off and that Deathless type chases will feel routine. But till then, enjoy the ride.

And yes, no bugs is ideal. But it is not entirely doing one thing vs the other. There are different departments, with different areas of expertise. Retasking your "saga department" and "new champion" department to instead join the QA department, is not a proper use of people's expertise. Yes, Kabam should hire more people to test each update and fix problems, but that is a different matter.

Besides, aside from game breaking bugs, I would say that "No new champions / No new content for an extended period of time plus No bugs" is a worse way to retain players versus "New champions / New content plus some Bugs regularly". If players decided to stop playing the game during the bug fix month, there might not be a game to return to.

They’ve added 5 (which was announced years ago) and the team that does relics isn’t even the same team that does this…

Seems like you’re just trying to be contrarian. You could just ignore them if you don’t care for them. The chase was completely f2p and non gacha reliant which a lot of us like. If you don’t care for them, ok, you’re not missing out on anything then? Like just move on lmao

I don't care for them either. Mainly because of the actual champs they are a variant of. I don't care to have Thanos, Vision, Guilly, or King Groot, so I'm not going to chase their grey versions. Only deathless one I want is She-Hulk because I actually like the green one 🤷🏽

Its fine u dont care about them as it is just a questing team to have fun with than anything some has uses for speed some have war attack stuff but mostly its just a team for questing except thanos who be used in offense or defense

The bugs are secondary honestly.. And btw, these deathless champs are not ground breaking by any means. That's why they aren't worth MY time.. If YOU like em, have at it.. And if you don't like my take, just disagree and keep it pushin.. Could care less how it makes you feel..

Well, like the overwhelming vast majority of champs in game, they aren't absolutely needed to progress anywhere. So if I get them much later on, cool.

I am not in love with any of the first four but looking forward to DT.

I appreciate that Kabam has created new pathways to champ acquisition, so pro-deathless in the big picture regardless of whether each champ is amazing.
