I know exactly what a successful medium intercept feels like after 9 years. They are failing at a meaningful rate (maybe 1 out of every 20 or 25?). I’m frequently having to analyze the HUD to see if I missed a falter or untouchable because what should have been a clean intercept whiffed and I got hit in the face.
For myself it is more frequent then that. My hunch is something like 20%, but it's so hard to tell because it's just so random. Seeing it in arena with the easiest gameplay is what makes my brain go wtf is going on.
The fact that even the people in this thread are giving highly varying ranges from 4% to 10% to even 20% is even more proof that this isn't a real AI glitch but rather a mix of frustration, cognitive bias, and natural AI adjustments to predictable player behavior.
I may not be able to say why it’s happening but I’d say your conclusion is completely wrong. I know what I’m seeing when it happens, even if I’m not willing to become an amateur data collector in order to help Kabam fix something they themselves have acknowledger to be an issue. Call it a bug, call it a hit box problem, call it AI, I don’t care…
Well, that literally just demonstrates the frustration and cognitive bias I was talking about in real time.
1. You admit you can't explain why it's happening or why people who agree with you have wildly varying % estimates, but you still insist it's happening, which is an emotional stance, not a logical one.
2. You appeal to your own perceptions, which is a classic subjective fallacy; just because you perceive something doesn't mean it's objectively true. That's just basic neurology.
3. Then you shift the burden on Kabam to provide the evidence to prove an assertion that you yourself are the one alleging is true, with no actual evidence other than your own feelings.
Well this didn't age well after kabam's acknowledgement.
His first argument doesn’t make sense, saying it’s an emotional stance not a logical one. Just because you can’t explain what’s happening just means you don’t have expertise in that area.
Eg. My car breaks down. I experience it happening. I don’t have a clue about cars. It’s not an emotional response. It’s an observation of something happening. Leave it to the experts to work out how it happpened. In this case, the mechanics.
His second reasoning doesn’t make sense also. OP is asking if others have experienced the same thing as he did, eg. Car analogy. Hey guys, my new Tesla keeps breaking down when its charge is 20%. Surely I should be able to drive it to zero right guys? Anyone else experiencing this? It’s not a fallacy to observe a physical change. It’s an observation. And OP is simply asking if others have also noticed.
As a result his third reason just sounds like utter nonsense. Eg car example. A passer by looks at your car and say…”ah yeah, mate. your cars not broken down.. you just feel like it’s broken down. You don’t need a mechanic… you just need therapy.
Now, saying that..all that above is my observation of an event that my eyes observed and my brain translated (ie I read some words in a screen). I hope I didn’t imagine it, otherwise I’d look silly.
Yeah, whatever you say, dude who’s been playing less than a year. Just because I don’t want to be an intern to help Kabam fix their problems, doesn’t mean I’m not correct about what’s happening in the game. The idea that because everyone has a different experience or recollection of the problem, it’s all a hallucination? For everyone? Get out of here, bro.
Ok, so basically you never wanted to engage in a discussion, you just wanted confirmation of your own beliefs. And your responses are all deflections (my experience level, even though I pointed to experienced streamers, not my own playing, etc.). Anyway, I apologize for interrupting this echo chamber. Carry on, fellows.
Dang this comment aged like milk 😂, while this whole thread aged like fine wine. Glad that this got officially acknowledged by Kabam in their announcement

SO who should I use for the boss fight?
