Apparently your problem is reading into things that haven't been said. Global chat simply shouldn't exist because of what it is. But players have the option to turn it off. To choose not to and then constantly complain about it is only creating problems for yourself. Obviously you enjoy global chat and are clearly a product of it. That's fine. But if anyone is going to go around and complain about something that is within their own control to do something about, and then keep complaining about it constantly when they know what they are in control to be able to do, then their complaints are nonsense. OP could've turned global off months ago, but instead is here every few weeks crying about being offended.

Why not try to make global a safer place for people to exist in and be more calm? Surely that is something worth working towards

It would be, but they'd have to chat ban you and all your friends to start in that direction. Better to shut it down, but they continue to want to give players a space to interact. It's definitely in part Kabam's fault that global chat is where it is simply because they're doing nothing about it, but it's also the fault of children (young and grown) that have a sense of entitlement that makes them feel like they can say whatever they want to people. Before it goes in a good direction, people have to decide they don't want to be absolutely awful.

There's no need for proof. If you're doing this (especially as the main person 'promoting), then you're encouraging and promoting the behavior. We all know what this will turn into.

And there's no need to clog up the forums with global stuff. We all know what it is and you can very easily solve the problem.

Y’all. They are trolls. You engaging with them is feeding the trolls. They will not listen to you no matter how correct you are. Just ignore them and move on. Eventually somebody with some moderator authority will check in and probably drop some bans, but until then, we just need to ignore them.
